The USM Dixie Darling dance camp has a lot to offer any team. We encourage you to send your entire team, but small groups can learn useful tools too. Some small groups have included just the officers or new members of a squad. Individuals are welcome too. This is a fun week for anyone who is looking to advance their dance ability and prepare for the upcoming performance season.

Student Classes:

• Dances in hip/hop, jazz, kick, and pom
• Sideline and Pep routines
• Proper dance team technique, fundamentals and terminology
• Fun with the DD’s and campers doing team building activities

Director/Sponsor Classes:

• Preparing/cleaning dances
• Healthy lifestyles for students
• Injury prevention and care
• Setting up booster clubs and by-laws
• General fundraising ideas
• Team building activities for students
• Auditions

Home Routine Competition Night:
Bring your favorite home routine for a camp competition.

Solo Competition Night:
Let your best 2 soloists represent your squad.

Awards for:

• Best Routine
• Best Choreography
• Outstanding Performer
• Camp Routines Overall Winner
• Spirit Awards

Individual ribbons awarded on final day during the camp showcase.
Squad with highest point total will receive a trophy.

Camp Cost:

Commuter: $200 includes lunch meal
Resident: $275 includes meals and housing
1 Chaperone is free for every 10 students.
